The typical symptoms of lipoedema are a distinctly broad abdomen in comparison to the upper part of the body. The fat deposit makes the legs appear like a column which are prone to bruises easily.
The fat accumulation, in such cases, enhances gradually with time resulting in blockage of lymphatic vessels. This resultant disorder leads to lymph fluid accumulation which is called lymphoedema. This is also talked of as lipo-lymphoedema.
