Compression therapy is considered to be a mandatory post-surgical application to
extract the desired long-term affectivity. Compression garment is to be worn throughout
the day for 4 – 6 weeks as advised by the medical consultant.
Post-operative compression therapy prevents:
- formation of uneven skin surface,
- formation of oedema and haematoma
- gap formation in the fatty layer beneath the skin
