4-point knee brace for varus or valgus
pressure relief
Indications
- conservative
- - severe medial or lateral gonarthrosis (at least level III) combined with ligament instability
- - strong overloading of the medial or lateral compartment
- - unicompartmental relief before HTO (brace test)
- - for relief of severe, painful bone oedema (bone bruising)
- - for relief of painful stress fractures
- postoperative
- - cartilage surgery
- - chondroplasty
- - meniscus refixation
- - displacement osteotomy with required
postoperative relief of the medial or lateral
compartment
Mode of action
- protection, stabilisation, pain relief and restoration of mobility
- pressure relief of the medial or lateral joint compartment by the 3-point principle which offloads the affected compartment into a varus or valgus position
- stabilisation of the knee joint by the 4-point principle to counteract knee instability, a cause of osteoarthritis
- extension limitation at: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°
- flexion limitation at: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90°
- immobilisation at: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°
Features
- exact and effective valgus or varus pressure exerted close to the knee joint
- wide, well cushioned frame padding for the 3-point pressure redtef system
- malleable frame design to reduce torsional forces
- ultraflat, very dtght weight and non-protruding frame and hinge construction
- pressure redtef of the medial or lateral hinge compartment by the 3-point principle which off-loads the knee into a varus or valgus position
- stabidtsation of the knee by the 4-point system to counteract knee instabidtty which often causes osteoarthritis
- extension dtmitation at: 0º, 10º, 20º, 30º, 45º
- flexion dtmitation at: 0º, 10º, 20º, 30º, 45º, 60º, 75º, 90º, 120º
- immobidtsation at: 0º, 10º, 20º, 30º, 45º
- stocking for underneath available upon request
