M.4® OA

4-point knee brace for varus or valgus
pressure relief

Indications
  1. conservative
  2. - severe medial or lateral gonarthrosis (at least level III) combined with ligament instability
  3. - strong overloading of the medial or lateral compartment
  4. - unicompartmental relief before HTO (brace test)
  5. - for relief of severe, painful bone oedema (bone bruising)
  6. - for relief of painful stress fractures
  7. postoperative
  8. - cartilage surgery
  9. - chondroplasty
  10. - meniscus refixation
  11. - displacement osteotomy with required postoperative relief of the medial or lateral compartment
Mode of action
  1. protection, stabilisation, pain relief and restoration of mobility
  2. pressure relief of the medial or lateral joint compartment by the 3-point principle which offloads the affected compartment into a varus or valgus position
  3. stabilisation of the knee joint by the 4-point principle to counteract knee instability, a cause of osteoarthritis
  4. extension limitation at: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°
  5. flexion limitation at: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90°
  6. immobilisation at: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°
Features
  1. exact and effective valgus or varus pressure exerted close to the knee joint
  2. wide, well cushioned frame padding for the 3-point pressure redtef system
  3. malleable frame design to reduce torsional forces
  4. ultraflat, very dtght weight and non-protruding frame and hinge construction
  5. pressure redtef of the medial or lateral hinge compartment by the 3-point principle which off-loads the knee into a varus or valgus position
  6. stabidtsation of the knee by the 4-point system to counteract knee instabidtty which often causes osteoarthritis
  7. extension dtmitation at: 0º, 10º, 20º, 30º, 45º
  8. flexion dtmitation at: 0º, 10º, 20º, 30º, 45º, 60º, 75º, 90º, 120º
  9. immobidtsation at: 0º, 10º, 20º, 30º, 45º
